Visiting Professor at the University of Montréal's Faculty of Law since January 2004, Nabil N. Antaki, CM, has been Associate Director of the CLBIT since June 2005. He was appointed Professor Emeritus at Laval University after teaching corporate law, international commercial law, mediation and arbitration for over 35 years. Professor Antaki is a solicitor, member of the Barreau du Québec. He founded the Quebec National and International Commercial Arbitration Centre (CACNIQ) in 1986 and served as its President until 2001. He has been a member of the International Chamber of Commerce International Court of Arbitration since 2001, taught alternative dispute resolution in a number of countries, participated in many international conferences, and regularly serves as counsel, arbitrator and chair of arbitration tribunals. He is a member of the Royal Society of Canada. Significant publication: Le Règlement amiable des litiges, Éditions Yvon Blais (1998).

Notary, tax expert and Full Professor at the University of Montréal's Faculty of Law,Diane Bruneau's areas of research are tax law in general and civil trust law in a bijural context. She has published a number of texts in these areas and has been teaching since 1985. She has also been an invited speaker at events held by a number of professional and specialized organizations. Professor at the University of Montréal's Faculty of Law, Emmanuel Darankoum works in CLBIT's areas and teaches international commercial arbitration law, international contract law, international economic relations law and corporate law. His research currently focuses on issues pertaining to NAFTA, the WTO and developing countries.

Associate Professor at the University of Montréal's Faculty of Law, Vincent Gautrais teaches a number of courses on information technology law and business law. Since June 2005, he has held the University of Montréal Chair in e-Security and e-Business Law. He is also Co-Director of the joint Master's program in electronic commerce (Faculty of Law, HEC Montréal, DIRO; www.cel.umontreal.ca). Prior to teaching at the University of Montréal, he was a professor in the common law section at the University of Ottawa. Since 1992, he has been doing research, writing books and articles, giving conferences and doing consulting on electronic business law, electronic contracts, cyber-consumption, network security, dispute resolution by and for the Internet, intellectual property and privacy. Professor Gautrais holds Licence and Master's degrees from the Université de Rennes 1 in France and LLD, LLM and LLB degrees from the University of Montréal. His doctoral thesis was published in 2002 by Bruylant (Brussels), and is entitled Le contrat électronique international. Vincent Gautrais is also a lawyer, member of the Barreau du Québec.

Full Professor at the University of Montreal's Faculty of Law, Guy Lefebvre has been the Faculty's Vice Dean, Development and Planning, since summer 2004. He was the Director of the Centre for the Law of Business and International Trade (CLBIT) from its foundation in 1997 until 2005. Professor Lefebvre is involved in various international organizations, and is an associate of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) and the Institut du Droit international des transports (IDIT). He is also a member of the Canadian delegation to the International Arbitration and Conciliation Working Group of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and participates regularly in the Commission's work. He has been a visiting professor at a number of universities in Canada, China, France and Tunisia, and teaches and does research at the Université Lumière Lyon 2's public and private commercial law unit. His expertise is regularly sought by governments, universities, law firms, business associations and companies in Canada, France, Morocco and Tunisia. His areas of interest include international commercial transactions, transportation law, corporate law and good governance. Professor Lefebvre is a member of the Barreau du Québec. Professor of Law at the University of Montréal, Ejan Mackaay served as Director of the Centre de recherche en droit public from 1999 to 2003, and has been the Director of the CLBIT since summer 2005. His research interests have always focused on ways to improve access to law, in the literal (legal data bases) as well as the figurative sense (jurimetrics, artificial intelligence in law, economic analysis of law), drawing on neighbouring fields: computing science and the social sciences, in particular economics. He has taught in these areas, as well as in the fields of contract law and intellectual property law, and has been a visiting professor and invited speaker at many universities in Québec, elsewhere in Canada, in the United States and in Europe. Professor Mackaay is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences and a member of the Barreau du Québec. He specializes in corporate law, corporate governance, securities law and law and economics. He has published many articles and works in his areas of expertise, in particular, he is coauthor of Droit des sociétés par actions - principes fondamentaux, and he gives conferences regularly in university and professional settings in Canada and abroad. Professor Rousseau holds a Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) from the University of Toronto, and is a member of the Barreau du Québec.
